As of August 2016 he is ranked as the world’s best welterweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board and The Ring magazine, and the second best by BoxRec. The Ring had previously ranked him as the world’s tenth best boxer, pound for pound, while BoxRec currently ranks him as the seventh best boxer, pound for pound.
